Kostakos has varied his experience to found and create ‘Smart Spoon’, a food consulting company for restaurants around the world. About Meraki

Meraki is a contemporary Greek restaurant located in the heart of Fitzrovia. Referring to the love and soul that someone puts into their work, Meraki was born out of a desire to offer the finest Mediterranean ingredients with warm, generous hospitality and stylish cosmopolitan flare.

The menu at Meraki celebrates produce that Chef Patron Athinagoras Kostakos and the team have scoured the length and breadth of Greece’s regions to find, such as Bottarga from Mesologgi, tomatoes from Santorini and butter from Crete. It features seasonally changing sharing mezze dishes, chargrilled meats and whole fish dishes which are carved at the table.

Meraki was opened by Peter Waney who along with his brother Arjun started restaurants in London 15 years ago, beginning with Zuma in Knightsbridge, followed by Roka and La Petite Maison. More recently, the Waney family acquired and revamped award-winning, internationally recognised industry benchmark The Arts Club on Dover Street. They have also opened Oblix at The Shard, Coya on Piccadilly and Coya Angel Court in The City.
