Dr Hazel Wallace created The Food Medic. Hazel, a UK based health and fitness blogger and social media influencer, in addition to being a Junior Doctor is also now a Sunday Times best-selling Author. The Food Medic was released on May 4th, 2017 – “This book isn’t just another diet book; it is about health, confidence, happiness and feeling amazing!” – Dr Hazel Wallace. Hazel’s second book is due for publication in April 2018.

Hazel graduated in 2012 with a first-class degree in Medical Sciences, going on to gain a graduate degree in Medicine (MBBCH) in 2016. She now works as a Junior Doctor in London and bridges the gap between mainstream medicine and nutrition in her blog and on her social media. The Food Medic grew out of Hazel’s medical background and interest in nutrition and fitness. She set up The Food Medic blog in August 2013.

Hazel also qualified as a personal trainer in Summer 2016. Over the past 3 years Hazel has held a number of supper clubs, workshops, and social events, sharing her passion and knowledge for health and nutrition. Hazel has since featured in The Daily Mail Top Ten Fitness Instagrammers and has featured in a number of publications including; YOU Mag, HELLO!, T2, Look and Stylist.

Hazel has just been announced as the new online columnist for Women’s Health. In September 2017, Hazel was chosen as the Health Food Manufacturers’ Association “Blogger of the Year 2017.”

Hazel has worked with a number of brands across a variety of different mediums; Reebok, POLAR, GoPro, Santander, Trivago and Origins. Alongside fitness, Hazel has also modelled in London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 and Autumn/Winter 2015 for Charli Cohen and in shoots for Nike, Active In Style, Misfit and That Girl. Hazel has also taken centre stage for numerous cookery demonstrations and leads talks at events such as, BBC Good Food, BE:FIT, WellFest and Balance. Hazel is currently Ambassador for Linwoods Health Foods.
