For many, Christmas is spent drinking mulled wine, eggnog, prosecco, champagne, and bottles of alcohol gifted by friends and family. Want to rejig your drinks and get inspired with something new? Well, look no further! Here are some new and exciting gin recipes to inspire you this Ginuary…

Multi-award-winning wine expert and drink enthusiast Olly Smith will be heading to the Eat & Drink Stage at the Eat & Drink Festival, where he will be doing live demonstrations on some of his favourite drink recipes. Until then, why not try Olly’s Original – Narnia 75? All you need is 25ml Gin, 1tbsp white sugar, 10ml lime juice, 100ml Champagne/Prosecco. Shake the gin, sugar and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice, pour into a Champagne flute and top up with chilled Champagne or Prosecco. Delicious!

Also gracing the Eat & Drink Stage is Lisa Faulkner, actress and celebrity chef, who will be sharing her tips and tricks in the kitchen. Her go-to gin recipe includes 50ml gin, 25ml fresh lime juice, and 20ml sugar syrup served on ice with 3 large cucumber slices and 3 large mint leaves. How delicious!

Gin-uary doesn’t have to just be about drinking. Celebrity chef Mark Heirs, an Eat & Drink Festival regular, will be heading to the Eat & Drink Stage too, demonstrating some of his favourite tasty treats. His classic dish of gin-cured salmon with compressed cucumber and buttermilk is the perfect way to explore the delicious world of gin.
